Hello Disc | Menstrual Disc

I love, love, love, LOVE this. I wish I knew about it sooner. I used to dread getting my period and while it’s still not my favourite thing, the menstrual disk just makes it so much easier. I thought it would take a while to get used to but honestly I was so happy and comfortable after using it just after one cycle. I am never going back. I recommend this to anyone who will listen.

Honestly, game changer. Haven’t found tampons or cups comfortable and they tend to add to my cramping/period pain. Nothing with the disc. No leaking even over night on day one.

I have always been a bit skeptical about menstrual cups, mainly due to them holding in place via suction and always being paranoid that one misplaced cough would be enough to dislodge it. When I chanced upon Hello Disc, I really liked the design and the ease of use, and now that I have used it a couple times, I can say that all the other reviews are right! The FAQ page and instructions were really useful, and I didn't have any issues using it correctly. Even with very heavy periods, I found wearing it for 6+ hours was no issue. Rinsing it out can be a bit difficult if you need to, especially if you are in a public restroom, but honestly with how long you can wear it before needing to change, I found that this really wasn't a problem as I almost always was able to change them before I left for the day and then after I came home.

First time user so can’t compare brands. I can however say it’s made a massive difference to me. Initially I was worried about using a disc but I shouldn’t have been. Easy to use, not messy like I expected and I can’t feel it when in use! Converted.

Not for me. I used an oil cup for 5 years before this and loved it so much, but this is messier, less comfortable, seems to make cramps worse, makes it hard to pee and hard to put it. Not for me. My friend loves hers so I had taken her recommendation, but I guess not one size fits all.

I needed something for my honeymoon after taking period delaying tablets for my wedding, which made me feel awful. My periods are irregular and makes things hard to plan, so I did some research and found the Hello disc. I was hesitant and anxious to use it as I also have vaginismus and have struggled with tampons in the past. It took a couple of goes and some deep breathing, but I am so glad I persevered. This genuinely works! I could go swimming in the sea and pool without worrying, I was cautious of the overwhelming positive reviews, but now I believe them. Like many others, I really wish I found this when I was younger (I am now 41) this has really changed periods for me. I am also going to be recommending them to my company so they can supply sustainable products to our female staff.

Unfortunately, period discs may not be for me. The discomfort compared to using pads was too much, so I had to go back to pads after trying the disc for a full day. I really wanted it to work, because I love the environmental sustainability aspect. But the disc was harder and larger than my body was comfortable with. *Sigh* back to pads for me. Expensive for a product I can't keep using and can't return (understandably). I'm glad it works for others; I wish it could've worked for me.

This has changed my life. Should have made the change years ago! Zero leaks, super easy and comfortable. You will not regret making the change from tampons.

I am 41 years old. Way too old to still be having period accidents in my opinion, but here I am still bleeding through my pants at work and staining my sheets. The first 2-3 days of my flow are a nightmare; I am a very very heavy bleeder and have always had a hard time keeping it under control. I stopped using disposable period products 10 years ago, switching to menstrual cups and period underwear. Even though I loved them and found them to be life changing, I never could count on them to protect me from leaks on my heavy days even when worn together. Every menstrual cup I have tried leaks no matter what I do. I have also tried disposable disks in the past which ended in a literal blood bath. I don't remember where I first saw the Hello disk, but as soon as I saw it and got over the sticker shock, I was in. Lucky for me, my disk arrived in the mail today, on the 3rd day of my period. I took out my cup, which had already leaked and soaked my period panties by noon, and put the Hello disk in. Felt OK inside... can tell it's there but not too bad. Decided to be bold and go all out in my little test - so I just put on a regular pair of underwear, no pad or liner. Its now 6:30 pm, I am dry and fresh as a daisy. No leaks, no stained underwear. This is a miracle. This thing is gonna change my life all over again.

Too big..it popped out within 5 minutes of wear and the loops were very irritating.

By FAR the best thing I've ever purchased. I've tried other discs as I love the concept but I've had issues with leaking, them not staying in place, getting them out, but this disk is literally the best. Not had one leak, one bit of anxiety trying to get it out - I simply can't recommend it more. Thank you

Love this so much I bought a second one! I have a copper IUD so I have really heavy period days. I still have to empty it after 6 hours of use and I need backup liners. But on normal period days, I wear this without worry. It’s easy to use and clean.

I couldn’t use it. I tried a couple of times but it was never comfortable for me. I managed to insert it but it didn’t feel comfortable to wear. Really disappointed as I had high hopes 😩

Its too firm and too big even for a high cervix.

Love it so much! Glad I upgraded from the original clear/light coloured one. The pink is so fun. No staining so far.

First time using a disc, would highly recommend. Don’t need to worry about tampons leaking at night or getting irradiation from the pads. Don’t need to be embarrassed about smelly bathroom during the period either. Wish I had started using it earlier.

Very comfortable!

I just finished with my period a day ago and used this the whole time. I've moved from tampons straight to this and my life has been changed. I usually changed my tampon every time I peed because I was quite weird about the pee getting on the tampon string. Don't have to worry about that anymore. I love that I don't have to worry about keeping tampons and pads in all my bags in case I get my period at work or something. I can just keep this and spare undies, and I'm good to go. I LOVE the confidence it gives me to just get on with my life while I'm on my period. No reminders of how much blood I'm losing every time I go to the toilet. Its so satisfying to flush after a pee and there's no blood whatsoever. I usually wear dark colours on my period, but I wore my light yellow skirt to work and she did not let me down. LOVE the auto dump feature (you pull it out and it empties itself). The cleaning is some getting used to as someone who has used disposables since day 1 but it's mad quick. Rinse, wash, dry, done. For the first day or two I found I was spotting because I wasn't pushing it far enough so my tip would be if you think you've pushed it in enough, push till you can't anymore, and it's totally secure. If you're considering, I would definitely recommend it. Never thought I'd say this but I'm so keen for my next "congrats you're not pregnant" to use it again. What. A. Time.

This disc is amazing!! I feel so relieved because the disc I was using previously leaked no matter what I did. I learned the diameter of the hello disc was better suited for my high cervix and decided to give it a try and it’s been amazing. Absolutely no leakage, best purchase ever!

Still getting the hang of mess-free emptying/ removal, but it was amazing to spend a few heavy-flow days at the beach swimming around and sunbathing without having to worry about leaking or finding a bathroom every few hours
