I find them so great to use. So easy to clean, no spillage, easy to insert and to take out. Cant feel it. Easy to carry around in the little bag it comes in. I haven’t gone back to using tampons or pads since. Love it! Charis.

This is the third menstrual cup I’ve tried and it was by far the best. The shape doesn’t warp while wearing, making removal so much easier. Completely forget I’m wearing it
Hey Ashley, great to hear you are loving your Hello Cup! There was a huge amount of love and care taken with the design of the Hello Cup and it was actually the first product we launched many years ago. Glad to hear you're loving it as much as we do x
I am new to using cups and to be honest have been rather disappointed. On my lighter days this worked well and is comfortable. But on heavier days, I need to wear pads or liners also. I expected the cup to do a better job. I think a disc may have been a better option, but an expensive risk to take if not.
Hi Laura, Thanks tfor sharing your experience. We're glad to hear the cup works well on lighter days, but sorry to hear it hasn't fully met your needs on heavier days. Discs do have a higher capacity than cups so it might be a good option for your heavy days. Many people interchange using a cup & disc depending on where they are in their cycle. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the team via hello@hellperiod.com
This was my first time trying a cup but I am glad I did. I got the small fearing difficulty inserting but believe that was a mistake I think my servix it too him and struggle with removal even though it is incredibly comfortable inside and can barely feel it k wish I had gone for the medium for those extra fee millimeters for breaking the seal I might have to try that.
I still rate this quite highly it's incredibly well made and quite comfortable despite being more of a learning curve that I thought. That is not the products fault it is mine
Hey Samantha,
Thanks so much for taking the time to share this feedback. If you haven't already, you might to look at taking our product quiz (available on our website) as that will give you more guidance as to cup size. And if you need any assistance or have any questions, please always feel free to get in touch at hello@helloperiod.com. We are always happy to help x
At first I was a bit skeptical about how firm the cup was compared to other products I had tried, however it works really well, has a good seal and is easy to use.
This is great and we're so glad to hear how easy you have found it! We're so happy you're loving your Hello Cup xx
I brought my original one in 2018 and a second one shortly after. Both medium and rotated them each cycle. They has a break during my two pregnancies and only now replacing them. Would recommend
Thanks for the kind review and for supporting us since 2018 Clare :) x
I had bought two cups two years ago and I find them so great to use. So easy to clean, no spillage, easy to insert and to take out. Cant feel it. Easy to carry around in the little bag it comes in. I haven’t gone back to using tampons or pads since. Love it
Thanks for the review Charis! We're so glad you love the Hello Cups as much as we do x
Never a miss with Hello. My favourite brand, period 👀 pun intended. Ive used Hello period cups for around 6 years. I love then so much!
I have used this cup now for a few months and am really loving it now! It was my first time every using a cup, so it took some getting used to, but now I am very happy with it.
At first, I had trouble getting the cup to open inside me. The C-fold method did not work for me, but the triangle/oragami was much better in terms of getting the cup to open. What also helped was pressing my finger to my vaginal wall around the cup to encourage it to open, then also inserting it quite far (where menstrual disc would go) then pulling it down a little (to correct place) in order to get it to open and ensure the suction was working. I'm not sure if this last one is legit, but it worked for me! This is all to say if it's still leaking for you, try out some tips online (I watched Youtube videos) and it's highly worth it once you get the trick!
I am glad there is a size small option since I have smaller anatomy and a light flow, so the S is perfect for me :) Thanks!
Hey Isabelle,
Thanks for the review! It sounds like you've nailed using your Hello Cup. As you say it can take some practice and some trial and error at first but it's totally worth it x
I’m on my second cup now started with a xs when I was 17 I’m now 23 and am a self diagnosed hello cup pro and I am now using the medium size cup. When I was 17 it took me a few attempts to get it to not leak as I struggled with correct insertion. But since I figured it out I’ve been leak free and living the dream. I’m a RN and it has saved me many a shifts where one pee break is a luxury! I reccomend this to all who will listen and or to at least plant the seed about alternatives to pads/tampons. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We're so pleased to hear that! Thank you for sharing. Sounds like you have absolutely nailed cup life x
Recently purchased my first menstrual cup and I love it! Super easy to use and made my heavy flow easy to manage. The menstrual undies are also fantastic. They are far more breathable than disposable pads but I found them a little tight around the legs so I had to size up to accommodate that.
I initially found this product in my local chemist. Absolutely thrilled! I’ve been using diva cups for the past seven years because they suit my lifestyle best. Then I developed a hyper sensitivity to silicone! I didn’t want to go back to pads or tampons and I couldn’t find any silicone free menstrual cup. For the last 5 years I’ve been putting up with inflammation and pain every period. Then, last week, I found hello!!
It was the colour that caught my eye and at first I had doubts, a silicone free cup sold on a chemist shelf? Unlikely. Then! Lo and behold. Right on the back it says 100% medical grade TPE! NO SILICONE!!
My life savers.
I’ve just come out of the most comfortable and pain free period in five years.
Thank you so much to the hello team.
Hi Ali, thanks so much for taking the time to leave your review. Glad you found us too :)
I've used another brand for a few years which worked amazingly, unfortunately I had to replace it and upon hearing good things about the hello cup I thought I would give it a go. So far, I'm struggling with leaking (significant) - honestly a bit disappointed with the rigidity of the cup.
Hi there,
Thanks for your feedback but sorry to hear that you're find the Hello Cup a little tricky. We'd love to try and help troubleshoot what is causing the leaking and one of the team will get in touch to see if we can assist!
I love these so excited to get to use this xx
Gorgeous colours & range, which is great for attracting the masses. I have used an overseas brand for over 5 years, but really wanted to convert to a local brand. Haven’t converted yet, the material is a little too thick/inflexible for comfortability for me, especially when taking in and out on those lighter days.
Really interested to see if the disc feels more comfortable!
Hi there - If you're after any trouble shooting help with your cup, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us! hello@helloperiod.com We'd love to help if we can! x
Fantastic period cup!! The rounded stem makes for really easy removal and comfortability to the point where I will forget that I have the cup in. While other cups that have thick rims have made for difficult insertion and have given me pain in the past, the Hello cups are incredibly easy to insert and, again, I don't feel anything when it's in!! I no longer dread my period and will even forget I'm on it!! Wonderful period cup
Tried shallow punch down for first and second period cycles. It didn't work!! Cup won't open. I used all the fingers tricks still remained folded. I gave up and used pads in the end. During third period cycle I decided to try other folding methods. Guess what? The C-fold works for me! It pops open once the Cup is inserted. I feel it sits comfortably inside. Now just wait and see if it leaks.
Another downside is the cup out of shape after fee attempts when inserting it into your body.

I used this for the first time and found the suction incredibly difficult to break and get it back out. It was also giving me an nagging ache and I was leaking. Very disappointed as I was hoping this would remove the use of tampons and be a simpler way!
Have tried both the s/m and L cups and both wind up leaking. Have used for around 10 periods and watched every tutorial under the sun so I feel like it must be anatomical. I have a high cervix (+strong pelvic floor) and at the time of purchase this cup was not available, however I'm scared to spend more money and have it not work either.
We'd love to chat with you to try and come up with a solution - feel free to email us at hello@helloperiod.com and we'll see what we can do to help you! Love from team Hello Period xx
Was really excited to try this cup as it looked such high quality and my previous cups were more budget brands. I unfortunately found the toggle design much harder to use despite the bulb type ending as there was little grip if wet and would’ve loved to see some ridges to make it easier. The cup itself is super sturdy which for some is a good thing but unfortunately made it really hard to get in and pop into place for me and often felt quite uncomfortable to have in :(
Thanks for sharing your experience - we think we could help you solve some of these issues! Please send us an email at hello@helloperiod.com. It sounds like your cup possibly wasn't opening fully which meant that the toggle was wet due to leaks. The base of the cup does have some ridges on it, but obviously works better if the cup is dry. Let us know if we can help! love from team Hello Period xx
The rim of the cup is a bit hard and wide so it hurts when put in and pull out. The design is nice looking but even the biggest size still leak as it doesn’t hold as much heavy flow. Recommend to change the design to be less wide but longer shape to maximize the flow.
I’m still getting the hang of it. I do think I bought the wrong size though. Despite measuring myself, I think I have a low cervix so have bought the wrong item. I ordered the standard ones in xs and s where I probably need the shallow cup. I will give it another cycle to make sure. What do other women do with their unused, ‘wrong size’ cups??
Can the company look into supplying a cheap, biodegradable/dissolvable ‘test’ cup? They are a lot money to spend on a product you then can’t use :(:(
Can you do a double box that has a standard length cup and a short-cervix up?
Really great. Good product. Very happy
I used the SM for years before I became pregnant. Having had my baby and my periods returned I didn’t know which size to go for. The combination pack has been so perfect, giving me the flexibility to get me through my whole period without the need for pads.
The black colour is also a win, because it hasn’t discoloured.
Brilliant stuff! Love from team Hello Period xx
Definitely worth it! Way more hygienic and sustainable than using pads and tampons!
Frustrating - I had changed over after 3+ years of using a different brand and found the Hello Cup significantly thicker and leaked 3 months in a row. I had read the instructions prior to using and do use the shallow fold (which is a pain as the plastic is so thick) and always made sure the seal was complete. I reached out to their customer service team who just kept emphasising the shallow fold... I don't think the fold is the issue, but rather the cup is probably too firm to hold a complete seal while wearing. No issues with removal, just the anxiety of a cup leaking throughout the day. Shame as I have to keep buying pads to protect myself with this unreliable cup, defeating the purpose of a cup. I'll probably switch back to my original brand.
We're so sorry that you didn't have a great experience with your Hello Cup. We do tend to bang on about the fold as we have found it to be super important -and for the times that altering the fold works it ensures that the cup forms a great leak free seal for the user (we always consider the whole situation though when trying to problem solve for our customers). Sometimes a different size of cup makes a difference too. Unfortunately we were unable to help you find success with your cup. Thank you for providing your feedback. Love from team Hello Period xx
