What are Hello Pads and Liners?

Our Hello Pad and Liner range has been designed to replace single-use sanitary pads and panty liners. Not only are they reusable but they have higher capacity and are more slimline that their disposable cousins - something we know you will love!

Our period pads and liners are made using leading-edge absorbent and leakproof fabric technology. The seams are sealed to give you leak-free performance you can rely on.


What makes Hello Pads and Liners so great?  

Our reusable, absorbent and leakproof Hello Pad range is designed for people looking for a more comfortable, reliable and environmentally friendly way to manage their periods. They can be used for light bladder leakage and postpartum care too.

Hello Pads are super thin and hold more than single-use pads thanks to their advanced, absorbent fabric technology. The adjustable stainless steel metal domes and the silicone design on the underside of each pad ensures they stay put. And the best bit? They won't make a crackling sound when you move!

Our Fresher Than A Daisy liners are designed to replace single-use panty liners. They're a great option for daily wear, for the gym or for light spotting, these liners are so thin and discrete you won't know you're wearing them.

Our pads and liners are designed to be easy care - simply rinse with cold water after wear and put in the washing machine.

 

How long can I wear a reusable pad?

It will depend our your flow and personal preferences. Our Hello Pad range has higher capacity than most single-use pads.

Our Ride or Die pads will hold 30ml which is the the same as six regular tampons. For most people, one pad see them through a full day - meaning they are a great option for school or work.

Our Overnight Success pads hold 60mls and are longer in length. We've designed them specifically for heavier flows and overnight wear.

If you have a light flow or are looking for a 'backup' for your menstrual disc or menstrual cup, then our Fresher Than A Daisy liners are a good choice.


How many reusable pads do I need?

Eight pads should see you through an average menstrual cycle with one load of washing in the middle. If you have a heavy flow you might and change your pads regularly, you might want to have up to ten pads on rotation. If you are using our pads for light bladder leakage or incontinence, we'd also recommend having 8 - 10 pads on rotation.


How much do they absorb?

Don't let the thinness of our pads and liners fool you! These beauties are super absorbent and leakproof.

Our Ride or Die pads are able to absorb up to 30ml - the same as 6 regular tampons.

Our Overnight Success pads absorb up to a whopping 60ml. Perfect for heavy flows, overnight or postpartum.

Our Fresher Than A Daisy liners absorb 10ml and are a perfect everyday panty liner that is whisper thin and comfortable. Perfect for gym workouts and light spotting too.

 

Do you have a maxi pad for heavy periods?

Yes, we'd recommend our Overnight Success pads for heavy flows. They perform like a maxi pad but without the bulk! Designed with extra length at both the front and back, each Overnight Success pad holds 60mls - the same as six super tampons.

 

What about postpartum?

Post-birth we recommend waiting a few days to use Hello Pads because you will likely have clots and lochia. You want to make sure you’ve got the green light from your lead maternity carer. 

 

What about bladder leakage?

Yes, our Hello Pad range can be used for light incontinence or bladder leakage. Hello Pads are also great to use during pregnancy and after pregnancy when you might experience leaks when you cough, sneeze, laugh or lift something heavy.

 

Why are Hello Pads and Liners a more sustainable choice than single-use pads or tampons?

Our washable Hello Pads are an environmentally sustainable solution. Because they’re reusable and washable, switching to them will prevent plastic-lined single-use pads and  tampons from piling up in landfill where they can take up to 500 years to biodegrade.


How long do Hello Pads and Liners last?

You should get years of amazingness from each Hello Pad - saving you heaps of moolah and giving you some serious kudos with Mother Nature. Please follow our care and washing instructions to help them last for years.


How do I wash my reusable pads?

Wash your pads or liners before you use them for the first time to activate the absorbent technology.

Our pads and liners can be hand or machine washed.

After use, give them a quick cold rinse until the water runs clear, then put them in the washing machine with the rest of your laundry on a cool wash. Use your ordinary washing powder or liquid. Do not use bleach, fabric conditioner or antibacterial sprays.


How do I dry my Hello Pads?

Hang them on the washing line – just keep them away from direct sunlight.

Hello Pads can also be dried in an airing closet, or indoor drying rack.  


Tell me about the safety accreditations. Do they have dodgy chemicals?

No. Our Hello Pad and Liner range have Oeko-Tex Standard 100 accreditation and do not have any harmful chemicals added. The fabrics we use are independently lab tested to ensure they are free of potentially harmful substances such as PFOS or PFOA.


What are Hello Pads made from and where are they made?

Main body: 80% Nylon 20% Spandex

Gusset: Top layer 97% Polyester + 3% Spandex; Middle 280g 88% Polyester + 12% Nylon; Leakproof layer PU


Hello Pads and Liners are made in an ethically-run factory in China, managed directly by our manufacturer to ensure our ethical and quality standards are met.
