Question: How do you use a menstrual disc?
Answer: To use a menstrual disc, wash your hands, pinch the disc into a narrow shape, insert it back and down toward your tailbone, then tuck the front rim behind your pubic bone. Once inserted correctly, it should feel comfortable and secure.
Question: How do you remove a menstrual disc?
Answer: To remove a menstrual disc, wash your hands, relax your pelvic floor, then hook a finger under the rim or, if you are using the Hello Disc, hook a finger through one of the removal tabs. Gently pull the disc forward and as it is exiting your body, pull the tab upwards so the disc tilts and empties away from your hand.
Question: Can you wear a menstrual disc overnight?
Answer: Yes, menstrual discs can be worn overnight for up to 12 hours, depending on your flow. On heavier nights, you may prefer to pair your disc with period underwear or a reusable pad for extra peace of mind.
Question: Why is my menstrual disc leaking?
Answer: A menstrual disc may leak if it is not tucked behind the pubic bone, if it is inserted at the wrong angle, or if it is full. Repositioning the disc usually helps stop leaks.
